Brenda Spangler is the Director of The Heartland School. She comes to Heartland with 29 years of work experience in the early childhood field. Brenda attended Wayland Baptist University and majored in Occupational Education with a specialization in Child Development.
While working for the Department of Defense, Brenda and her family enjoyed living in Europe for four years where she taught at a school for American children. Upon returning to the states, she taught and directed a military child development center for 10 years before coming to Chicago. She worked for Kinder Care for one year before spending almost 15 years at Crème de la Crème. During her time at Crème de la Crème, Brenda successfully opened several new schools and utilized her innovative marketing techniques to increase enrollment at her own school.
In 2012, the C.O.O. of Crème de la Crème nominated Brenda for the Bammy award. She won the Educators’ Voice Awards, which was present to her by the Academy of Education, Arts and Science.
