One tuition discount per family

Active duty and retired military will receive a 10% discount off the oldest or least expensive tuition rate with proof of service.
We would like to thank our families for their support and confidence in allowing us to care for their children. After one full year of enrollment, and a written notice given to the director, a family can take up to five vacation days per year and not pay tuition.
A security deposit of one week’s tuition per child is required, which will be applied to the last week of enrollment with a two week written notice of disenrollment. Without two week notice, deposit is forfeited.
Tuition is billed weekly and can be paid weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Tuition is due prior to the week of attendance (by close of business the Friday before) regardless of payment schedule choice. A 10% late fee will be applied to the account for the total unpaid balance. If an account becomes more than two weeks delinquent, access to the school will be removed and the family disenrolled until the account is current. Tuition payments can be made by personal check and made payable to “The Heartland School,” ACH transfer, credit card, money order or cash.
Tuition is due in full without deduction for absences of any duration or cause. There shall be no substitution of days to “make up” for missed days, days when the school is closed due to a scheduled holiday, or weather conditions. In the event a parent notifies the school that their enrolled child has been hospitalized and can provide documentation from their doctor which states that the child was unable to attend school, the account will be placed on hold for up to two weeks.
Hours of Operation:
Full day programs are offered from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Part-time programs are offered from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on M/W/F, T/TH, M-F.
Late Pick Up Fees and Policy:
The late pick up fee is $5.00 for the first 5 minutes, and $5.00 per minute thereafter. If a child has not been picked up within 10 minutes of their designated time, a director will attempt to reach the parent/guardian. If the parent/guardian has not been reached within 15 minutes the director will then call the emergency contacts. If after 60 minutes the parent, guardian or emergency contacts have not been reached, the director will then contact the police for assistance. It is very important to be sure to have current emergency contact information on file in the instance that we are unable to reach the parent or guardian. We are responsible for the child’s protection and well-being until the parent or outside authorities arrive. We also acknowledge that The Heartland School staff shall not hold the child responsible for the situation and that discussion of this issue will only be with the parent or guardian and never with the child.
The school will be closed for the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Reverse of Additional Costs:
The Heartland School will reverse any additional cost it may accrue in regards to the actions of the parent. These costs would include, but are not limited to, NFS check fees, legal fees that are connected to divorce or custody proceedings, cost of printing records or files, mailing of requested documentation, and staff payroll expense should they need to appear in court at your request.
